About Me
Hello, my name is Kayla Carpenter and I am currently a senior at Grove City College in Pa. I am a Music Education major with a concentration in french horn and a minor in voice. I am a member of several prestigious music groups including, wind ensemble and touring choir. I also enjoy singing with our jazz ensembles.
In addition to these fine music groups, I participate in various aspects of theatre productions. I have acted, directed, and choreographed for several one act festivals, main stage plays and musicals, and children’s theatre shows. In the fall of 2005 I was inducted into TAP (Tau Alpha Pi) a theatre honorary. Dance is another activity I’ve enjoyed long before as well as now at college. I currently serve as senior head of the Grove City College Dance Team. I also dance in many producitions as a member (and former choreographer) of Orchesis Dance Troupe.
I am a current member of MENC. In high school I was very active in PMEA festivals. I attended several District and Regional band, chorus, orchestra, and jazz festivals. As a senior, I was a member of the premier State Vocal Jazz Ensemble at the State music conference. Last year, I performed as a member of our wind ensemble at the State music conference in Hershey, Pa.
